with Dr. Janice Sutherland & Michelle Woodruff

This is a conscious connected breathing technique, an active meditation, and vibrational mind-body medicine. Dr. Jan guides breathers into the somatic experience of the body, which allows for alignment of the left (mind) and right (body) hemispheres of the brain.

This innate intelligence of the body can be accessed through this technique to support you on your journey in healing, inspiration, manifestation, transformation, discovery, and remembrance of the true self.

WHAT to EXPECT

  • Movement and body awareness exercises

  • Breathing demonstration

  • Instruction and practice the technique and regulation tools, with guidance to make adjustments

  • Begin the Breath Journey - breathing with hands on support from 2-3 facilitators for about 1 hour

  • A beautiful soundscape of music supports the journey

  • Sound healing, aromatherapy, light body work, and guided meditation assist in finding presence and in integrating the energy and emotions moving through the body.

This is a grounded and activated technique. On the spectrum of breathing practices, this is more involved and activating than passive meditation, and less intense than the Wim Hof method and Holotrophic practices. We do not forcefully evoke catharsis, but release of emotion is invited, and natural at times. We teach self / nervous system regulation: expand the capacity to hold your own energy, emotion, sensation, and increase your stress threshold (that means less stress :)

You will be laying down on your back with props if needed.
