Explore the world of yoga through the lens of pranayama – ancient yogic breathing techniques used to create mind-body connection.
This workshop will give you several tools you can use throughout your day to help relieve stress, control your mood, and go deeper into meditation. Pranayama is regarded as a science. It’s believed that you can control the power of your mind through regulating your breath.
In this workshop you’ll learn and practice several kinds of pranayama and experience the effects in your mind and body.
Pranayama is an exercise for physical and mental wellness. It helps bring serenity to our mental nerves as it increases oxygen supply in the body.
Improves emotional responses, fatigue, stress, and reduced anxiety levels and any negative feeling associate with it, helping cancer patients, as well as patients with cardiovascular disease.
Just one session can help you to noticeably reduce anxiety, improving areas of mental focus that are often affected by it such as awareness and attention. A great tool to have and use in our daily lives.
The workshop will end with healing sound - including: crystal bowl, gong, harmonium, and chimes.

I was born in San Francisco at home to two hippie yogis. It wasn't long before we had a family band and were hanging out at yoga farms. Creativity and yoga were always in my blood. I moved to Los Angeles when I was 19 and started working in Television and film - yoga kept me grounded through it all. Inspired by Paramahansa Yogananda and my Teacher Mas Vidal I decided to deepen my life-long practice to become an Ayurvedic Yoga Therapist in 2010. Yoga is for everyone and I truly feel blessed to guide people of all ages on their journey. I love being a mom and care deeply about the environment and all mankind.

Maa Yoga & Wellness Studio does not offer refunds for any reason. Credit will only be granted 48 hours before the workshop; no credit will be granted above and beyond this amount of time. We will offer a credit, less a late cancellation fee, on your account that may be used for another workshop or we will gladly transfer your credit to another guest attending a workshop. In situations where there is an injury or illness, refunds may be granted with a valid doctor’s note, and will be handled case by case. Please email us at info@maayoga.com.
If you reserve a spot and don’t show up without cancelling your reservation for the scheduled workshop, you will be charged for the workshop.
