Reiki is a Japanese word which directly translated, means “spiritual energy”. Similar to prana (Sanskrit) and chi (Chinese), Reiki is the energy that animates the whole universe and everything in it. Learning to channel Reiki and connect with Source energy, gives us the ability to heal ourselves and others by supporting physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health and can help bring guidance to our lives. Reiki is currently practiced all over the world in hospitals, wellness centers, spas, resorts, homes and corporate offices. As a practitioner, you can perform Reiki on yourself, other people, animals and plant and all living and non living things.
Learning to center and ground and connect to this Universal Source Energy is a wonderful gift. Reiki’s unlimited nature creates opportunities for continual growth, unfoldment and the awakening of our boundless potential. The joy, peace and abundance that await those who sincerely pursue the path of Reiki are not only a personal blessing to be enjoyed, but also ripples outward helping provide the healing that the planet so profoundly needs. Those who have been initiated into Reiki often feel this greater potential and aspire to continue on to higher levels of training and healing. But, at any level, Reiki has the power to positively transform your life and the lives of others.
Level 1 primarily focuses on supporting physical health for yourself, friends and family. Becoming attuned to Reiki and working with energy systems improves physical health, (which leads to better mental, emotional and spiritual health). It is a perfect introduction to energy healing and can be a wonderful support to living a more centred, grounded and happier life.
This Reiki Level 1 class will include:
· Reiki 1 Attunements
· Reiki history, philosophy and ethics
· The 5 Reiki Precepts, 5 Characteristics of the Reiki System
· Basic Philosophical Principles of Reiki and its 3 Pillars
· A brief review of your energy systems, (Chakras, Aura, Clair senses)
· Breathing techniques to enhance Reiki flow
· Sensing energy and clearing your energy field
· Boysen – scanning the energy body of others
· Standard hand positions and protocol for giving self-treatment and offering Reiki to friends and family
· Other uses for Reiki
Level 2 expands our use of Reiki to encompass physical, mental and emotional treatments for ourselves and others; to brings more peace and move past limiting beliefs and habits that keep us stuck. We learn the Reiki level 2 symbols that allow us to send distant healing to friends and family, our community and the wider world. We learn more about non-duality and our energetic connections and also how to distinguish our energy from other people’s energy. We learn to send Reiki for the highest good without hooking into or taking on the energy or responsibility that belongs to other people or situations. This is a wonderful gift you can give to yourself and others.
Reiki Level 1 Certification must be provided as a pre-requisite for Level 2
This Reiki Level 2 class will include:
· Reiki 2 Attunements
· A quick review of Reiki basics from level 1
· Energy Exercises to increase the flow of Universal Energy
· Second Degree symbols – characteristics and how to use them
· Practice in person with the symbols and by distance over zoom the second day
· Other Traditional and Western techniques to apply the benefits of Reiki
· More boundary work - How to send Reiki energy without taking on the energy of others
Level 3/ “Master” level brings us to the Spiritual plain. This is soul healing. You learn how to heal yourself and others at a cellular level. Level 3 (Master Practitioner) completes the cycle of Reiki Energy Healing, from physical to emotional to soul, completing the Mind Body Spirit triangle to fully support holistic healing. As each person takes the Reiki Master training, and increases their personal vibration, this adds to the vibration of the whole planet! Level 3 Reiki focuses on techniques required for more challenging cases and is a pre-requisite to becoming a Reiki teacher. You don't have to want to teach in order for the Master training to be useful. The attunement to Reiki level 3 increases your vibration to a very high level, and creates a beautiful and stable platform for even more growth.
Reiki Level 1 and 2 Certification must be provided as a pre-requisite for Level 3
This Reiki Level 3/Master class will include:
· Reiki Level3/Master Attunements
· Review of Reiki 1 and 2 content
· Introduction of Rei-Ju
· Master symbol – characteristic and how to use it
· Reiki Master Meditation
· Kotodama and Jumon
· Reiki Clearing
· Aura Clearing (used to be called Psychic Surgery) technique
ABOUT janet
I am so pleased to be sharing the gift of Reiki with you. I have been a certified Reiki practitioner and Energy healer for many years. I studied Usui Reiki, Kundalini Reiki and graduated from an eight-month Energy Healing for Professional Practice course through the West Coast Reiki Centre, Psychic Reiki at Hands on Heart Reiki and am registered with the Canadian Reiki Association. My teachers, and therefore I, have a long Reiki Lineage, both purely Japanese and also from a branch of Western teachings. I have had the honour of channeling healing energy to people in many places in the world, both in person and by distance healing. Some of my most gratifying work has been working with seniors and volunteering on the Downtown East Side. My personal journey with Energy began as a child. I have always been very open and sensitive to energy but until my 30s really didn’t understand it and therefore, had no energetic boundaries. Working in education and supporting a parent with Alzheimer’s, I became very overwhelmed to the point of collapse. This is when I began exploring energy work. I found that Reiki helped increase my vitality physically, emotionally, and spiritually and has since connected me to my purpose. I enjoy working with people individually and in groups. As well as being a Reiki practitioner and teacher, I am also a Psychic, Medium, and Past Life Regression facilitator. I love facilitating psychic development and past life groups as well as giving private sessions and classes. I have learned a lot about energetic boundaries and feel a deep calling to help people understand, establish and maintain them. Having some experience with personal trauma, I approach all interactions from a soul level with a trauma-based perspective and no judgement, only love. I believe that it is important to witness people and meet them where ever they are on their soul’s journey at that moment. We are all connected, and through compassion and love we can raise each other up.

Maa Yoga & Wellness Studio does not offer refunds for any reason. Credit will only be granted 48 hours before the workshop; no credit will be granted above and beyond this amount of time. We will offer a credit, less a late cancellation fee, on your account that may be used for another workshop or we will gladly transfer your credit to another guest attending a workshop. In situations where there is an injury or illness, refunds may be granted with a valid doctor’s note, and will be handled case by case. Please email us at info@maayoga.com.
If you reserve a spot and don’t show up without cancelling your reservation for the scheduled workshop, you will be charged for the workshop.
