In this workshop we will combine therapeutic self-massage techniques using our own hands, myofascial release using ball rolling, the ancient wisdom of gentle yoga asana, and sound healing. The combination of these therapies are extremely effective as part of a self-care routine.
Self-massage and ball rolling can help with sore and 'tight' muscles, general relaxation, joint ranges of motion, and can increase anatomical comprehension and body awareness, allowing for a deeper connection to regions of our bodies that are commonly ‘untouched’. It is also very beneficial to place ourselves in various positions on the floor while ball rolling, as this can help improve our posture; this is especially wonderful if you spend a lot of time sitting. After we have moved the body in these mindful ways, we will end with a beautiful soothing gong bath in savasana.
All levels welcome. Come explore, relax, learn, and play!
Please bring your own props for added comfort, if you have a rolling ball you use please bring it. We will provide tennis balls.
